Why Miniature?
Property Size
Farms are getting broken up into smaller and smaller tracts more frequently nowadays. Smaller cattle such as the Miniature Hereford fit the bill for these people that have smaller acreage or homesteads but yet still want some livestock on the property.
Compact Frame Size
A Mini Hereford should mature to 45" or less for females and 48" or less for males. They will continue to grow till 4 years of age. This compact size makes the breed easier to handle, manage and the perfect size for kids wanting show stock. We offer discounts on calves for minors in 4-H & FFA.
Disposition
Minis are still full blooded Herefords they are just shorter and therefore still have the gentle and calm disposition Herefords are known for.
Efficient
Less feed, grass, hay and overall intake. As much as 40% less over standard size. Easier on your pastures, fences and facilities. A miniature produces just the right amount of meat for a family without having more than can be used before getting freezer burnt.
